CARNET featured three successful CRISS events at the annual CARNET users conference (CUC) which was held in Šibenik, CROATIA, last week (21 – 23 November 2018).
On Tuesday, November 21st, there was not enough room for all of those who wanted to attend the CrissH2020 platform workshop at the CARNET users conference, brilliantly led by CRISS associate Kristina Posavec and one of the most enthusiastic teachers involved in the project – Jasmina Kljunic, whose experience with the platform was invaluable to the workshop participants – over fifty teachers, headmasters and experts.
On Wednesday, November 22nd, an official meeting took place with the onsite project school representatives (27 teachers and headmasters from all over Croatia). It started with a relaxing atmosphere in which all the participants had a chance to introduce themselves to each other. In the second part of the meeting, the teachers shared their experiences with the platform and the scenarios. Those who started using them reported on inspiring lessons with their students who all shared a genuine interest in the CRISS methodology.
On Thursday, November 23rd, a presentation of the CRISS project and the CRISS massive open online course (MOOC) was given. Gordana Jugo introduced the general idea of the project, Klara Bilić Meštrić gave a short account of the CRISS MOOC, while Jasmina Kljunić presented her experience and work with the My Internet scenario as well as student activities and favourable impressions. The presentation inspired a keen interest and numerous questions were posed regarding registration and the future of the platform.
As a result of these activities, three more schools decided to participate in the onsite project.
