Here in CRISS we are very focused on the most influential ideas in educational innovation from leaders in the sector. We recommend two TED talks: Sal Khan and Rita Pierson both share some important findings from their careers and backgrounds.

In this first Ted Talk, Sal Khan the founder of the groundbreaking Khan Academy which has more than 42 million registered users from 190 countries, tells us that evaluation cannot be only based on test scores. Instead, he argues for a more participatory evaluation system in which students are engaged agents in their own education. This type of forward thinking is what we hope to represent with CRISS.

One of the aims of CRISS is to foster meaningful communication and relationships between students, teachers and the community in an ITC context.

In this second TED Talk Rita Pierson, a teacher with 40 years of experience, explains how important this communication and these relationships are for successful educational outcomes.
