The Faculty of Organization and Informatics (FOI), with its 3,300 students and 130 staff, is a constitutional unit of the University of Zagreb (UZ).

Founded in 1669, the UZ is the oldest and the largest university in SE Europe consisting of 33 faculties and art academies. With around 80.000 undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate students and 9.000 staff, the UZ is the strongest teaching and research institution in Croatia and one of the most important higher institutions in the SE Europe.

Established in 1962, FOI is an institution that reaches back more than half a century, which is a comparably long tradition when modern technology studies are concerned.

Over the decades, FOI has been providing education to future experts in the field of information sciences and technologies, economics, organization, communication and in other related fields. Today, FOI is considered the leading higher education institution in Croatia providing education in information technology and information sciences. FOI is strong in the following research areas: information systems and information technology, e-learning and open software, e-portfolio, research methodology, decision making and project management. FOI has participated and lead many EU funded projects and initiatives.
